Commissioner Jennifer Trichelle-Marie Williams is a small business owner, CPA, and serves on the LA County Citizens’ Economy and Efficiency Commission. Jennifer works at the intersection of racial justice, economic equity, and corporate social responsibility, which combined with her lived experience, inspires her run for State Senate. 

Jennifer’s Background
Jennifer was born in Willowbrook, an unincorporated community in the district, to a single mother and single grandmother, neither of whom had a college education at the time. Education was their hope for economic mobility.

Jennifer studied accounting at Northeastern University and has since worked in public accounting in tax and financial statement auditing. For nearly a decade, Jennifer worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, was a Founding Fellow of the award-winning CEO Action For Racial Equity fellowship, and most recently founded her own firm.

Jennifer is an LA County Commissioner, Board Member of America’s Charities, an elected delegate of the CA Democratic Party, and a proud graduate of Emerge California and Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute (LAAAWPPI). She is connected to her community as a member of the West Athens Westmont Task Force and lives with her husband and 4-year-old daughter in unincorporated Westmont. Together her family stays grounded in their faith as active members of Revelation Church in Compton.
